OX Floating Containment Mat
Floating Mats for Bridge Containment
OX Floating Containment Mats are a unique barrier designed to offer pollution prevention and secondary containment in the water. Often placed around bridges, barges, or dams, these floating mats act as a barrier to catch falling debris, paint, tools and other hazardous materials. All mats are manufactured from robust materials that are equipped to handle extended use in water locations.
Standard Containment Mat Features
- Fabric: 22 oz. PVC
- Height: 6"
- Foam Walls
- Small and Large Sizes
Floating Containment Mat Construction: Containment mats are manufactured using 22 oz. PVC material that is high in resistance to lead, chemicals and other liquids. Along the perimeter of the mat are foam containment walls. These walls create a six inch (6") overall height that keeps the mat floating, while also providing a large containment area for catching debris and other equipment.
Floating Mat Applications
- Fire Fighting Efforts
- Emergency Applications
- Disaster Relief Efforts
- Clean Up and Wash Down
- Tank Containment
- Spill Storage and Containment

Barge, Dam and Bridge Repair: One of the biggest concerns during repair on bridges, dams, docks, and barges is contamination of the surrounding area. This can include falling debris, lead paint, tools, and mold. Rather than allowing these items to pollute surrounding water bodies, containment mats work to catch items before they hit the surface of the water.
Additional Containment Products
In addition to the floating containment mat shown above, we also offer several other systems for containing debris, silt, turbidity and other hazardous materials. Options include:
- Containment Berms: The containment berm is similar to the floating mat, but is designed for use on land. These berms are often used under equipment, machinery, and hazardous storage containers to prevent contamination on a site.
- Floating boom and Barriers: Another popular option for containment in water areas is a floating boom. boom can be made for debris containment, oil containment or turbidity control.
