Taurus Filter Sock
Dewatering Socks that Fit Directly on Pipes & Hoses
The Taurus Filter Sock, also known as a dewatering sock or pipe sock, is a flexible, low cost way to filter runoff and discharge from a construction site. Designed to easily connect to the end of a pipe or hose, these socks create an easy way for runoff to filter and leave your site. Taurus silt socks are made from an 8 oz. nonwoven filter fabric that provides filtration for discharge items that are six, eight, twelve or sixteen inches (6", 8", 12" or 16") in size.
Standard Features
- Dia. Sizes: 6", 8", 12", or 16"
- Standard Length: 60"
- Model Options: Silt Only
- Fits Various Pipe and Hose Sizes
Dewatering Socks Installation: One of the largest advantages to dewatering socks is their quick and easy installation to end of a pipe or hose. When the sock arrives to your location, it will be completely open on both ends. The first step to installing the sock is securing/tying one end. This is usually done with a zip tie to create a tight and closed off end. Once this is complete, the open end can then be attached to the hose or pipe via a securing clamp.
Applications
- Runoff Filtration
- End Pipe Filtration
- Sediment Removal
- Silt Removal
- Construction Site Filtration
- Stormwater Runoff Filtering
