Moving Water Locations

When implementing a boom in a moving water location, additional components are added onto the unit to help keep the barrier stable against currents, waves or tides. For these moving areas, boom will typically feature the addition of a 1/4" tension cable located near to the top of the boom. Learn more about our debris boom section

Moving Water Debris Barriers Installation

  1. Lay out Multiple Sections of Boom Along your Deployment Locationsection slide connectors

  2. Connect Sections Together via Slide Connectors

  3. (If Applicable) Connect Sections Together through Grommet Eyes and through Shackles

  4. Tow the Boom into Position
    (tow bridles are available to help with this process)

  5. Anchor the Boom as Needed for your Location (Can be attached to shore anchor points, pilings, or docks. Moving water boom are also anchored directly along the boom)

  6. If the boom skirt is tied up, unroll the skirt.
