Offshore Boom Specifications
Kraken Offshore Oil Containment boom is a robust floating boom equipped for use in offshore, coastline, and fast moving water areas. Often implemented as part of an emergency spill response plan, these boom provide a quick barrier around spills to keep the spread of oil under control. Once in place, workboats and skimmers can enter the containment area to quickly recover spilled materials.

Our Kraken Offshore and Coastline boom are manufactured specifically for use in demanding water locations and will feature a heavier weight tension cable and bottom ballast chain. All components of the boom are marine grade for extended usein water conditions.

Oil Boom Installation
- Lay Out Sections of Boom Along the Shoreline/Intended Deployment Location
- Connect Multiple Sections of Boom Together:
- Slide Connectors joined together at the upper portion of the boom
- Grommets aligned and connected throughout the entire skirt depth
- Bottom shackles connected together along the bottom chain
- Slide Connectors joined together at the upper portion of the boom
- Tow the Boom into Location (often achieved via tow bridles)
- Anchor the Boom in your Location (Anchor Kits are available with anchors, chain, buoy, and painter rope)
- If the Bottom Skirt has Remained Tied Up, Release the Skirt to Complete the Installation Process
