Stormwater Filter

Taurus Runoff Filter (TRF)

The Taurus Runoff Filter (TRF) is a stormwater filtration product designed to target sediment and debris in runoff, sheet flow or stormwater drainage. Often installed around parking lots, facilities, or asphalt drives, the TRF works to trap and contain pollution before it flows into a storm drain. This provides a way for water to continuously flow around your site, while debris, sediment and other solids remain within the bag. TRF units are site-specific and are installed within natural flows around your location. This allows you to target problematic areas, downstreams or contaminated runoff before it leaves a location. All TRF kits are sold complete with attachment and installation hardware. Replacement filters are available in packs of five.

TRF Construction

TRF Bags are made from a dense, felt-like material that allows water to easily flow through the unit while solids and debris are retained. Great for runoff or downstream flows, these filters work to remove pollution before it nears a drain system. Debris and solids collected within the bag can be removed when full to ensure a continued flow. Bags can be installed on their own, in a series, or in a row for wider or increased coverage.

TRF Installation

All stormwater filters are designed for installation on hard surfaces, such as asphalt or concrete. They are not designed for use on bare soil or grassy areas. Standard design of the unit includes two 8" x 16" - 1/4" x 2" brackets with pre-drilled holes. These brackets are inserted into side pockets of the filters and then installed to your hard surface area. The TRF should always be tested on site to ensure proper placement and the best filtration results.
